TransAlta Corp. on Aug. 9 reported comparable EBITDA of C$215 million in the 2019 second quarter, down from C$248 million in the year-ago quarter.
The S&P Global Market Intelligence consensus comparable EBITDA estimate for the quarter was C$210.1 million.
The company had no net earnings attributable to common shareholders in three months ended June 30, an improvement from a loss of C$105 million, or a loss of 36 cents per share, in same period of 2018.
Second-quarter revenue totaled C$497 million, rising from C$446 million a year earlier.
TransAlta reported second-quarter funds from operations of C$155 million, or 55 Canadian cents per share, down from C$188 million, or 65 Canadian cents per share, in the second quarter of 2018.
