Nestlé Argentina invests CHF12M to expand liquid milk production

Nestlé Argentina SA said March 12 that it has spent over CHF12 million to add a new production line at its Villa Nueva factory, boosting production of liquid milk under the Nesquik, Nido and NAN brands.

The Argentinian unit of Swiss consumer goods giant Nestlé SA said it used the investment to acquire a new sterilization plant and an adaptation for its packing line, as well as to renovate its existing boilers and cold system for the whole plant.

The new production line is able to manufacture 10 million liters of milk per year using ultra-high temperature.

Nestlé Argentina added that the investment is part of its CHF127 million investment in its facilities during the last four years.

The division operates six factories and employs more than 2,000 people in Argentina.
