Sioux Falls, S.D.-based MetaBank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Meta Financial Group Inc., added Kathi Winter as executive vice president and chief people officer.

Previously, Winter was chief human resources officer at UnitedWeb | Nextiva | Sitelock, a global privately held technology organization.


Everett, Wash.-based Coastal Community Bank, a unit of Coastal Financial Corp., added David Franklin as senior vice president and data scientist architect.

Franklin most recently worked at Comcast as a product architect.


Morgan Stanley appointed Linda Hill and Emmanuel Roman to its Institute for Sustainable Investing Advisory Board, effective immediately.

Hill is the Wallace Brett Donham professor of business administration at the Harvard Business School and chair of the leadership initiative. Roman is CEO and managing director of Pacific Investment Management Co. LLC.

Financial services

Ally Financial Inc. appointed Sathish Muthukrishnan as its chief information, data and digital officer.

Muthukrishnan will be responsible for leading Ally Financial's technology, data and digital transformation teams. Muthukrishnan previously was chief digital and information officer at Honeywell Aerospace Inc.


Heartland Financial USA Inc. named Jay Kim executive vice president and general counsel. Kim most recently was a partner at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, in the banking and financial services industry group.


Karen Boyd resigned as senior vice president and treasurer of Southwest Georgia Financial Corp. and its subsidiary, Southwest Georgia Bank, effective Jan. 10.


Benefitfocus Inc., a cloud-based benefits management platform and services provider, promoted Annmarie Fini to the newly created role of executive vice president of customer success.


Pentagon FCU promoted William Heyer to senior vice president and deputy general counsel.

Heyer previously was director, assistant general counsel and vice president, associate general counsel at the firm.


BBVA USA appointed Luis Ramirez as the corporate banking manager in the Denver area.

Ramirez was previously the president of the bank's northern Colorado market.
