Citigroup appoints new Asia-Pacific head of corporate, investment banking

New York-based Citigroup Inc. named Jan Metzger as its head of corporate and investment banking for Asia-Pacific, effective June 1, Reuters reported March 27, citing an internal memo.

Metzger is currently Citigroup's global co-head for technology investment banking. He will replace Mark Slaughter, who will move back to the U.S. and take up the vice chairman role for the global corporate and investment banking business.

A Citigroup spokesman confirmed the appointments.
