The Procter & Gamble Co. said Dec. 12 that it acquired health and beauty products maker Walker & Co. Brands in a move to expand its multicultural product offerings.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Walker & Co. develops products and services for people of color, including grooming aids for men with curly hair and products for women with textured hair. It will operate as a separate and wholly owned subsidiary of consumer goods giant P&G, with company founder Tristan Walker continuing to serve as CEO.
This acquisition comes shortly after P&G completed its purchase of German drugmaker Merck KGaA's consumer health business.
