Akelius buys NYC property for US$72M

Akelius acquired a building at 838 West End Ave. in New York City from Emerald Equity Group for US$72 million, The Real Deal reported.

The seller paid US$64.5 million for the 98,000-square-foot property in a deal that property records show closed in late July. The sellers in that deal were Thor Equities and Rockwood Capital, according to the publication.

Akelius is a Swedish real estate investor that owns apartment properties in Europe and North America.
