Havilah estimates 23,200 tonnes cobalt at Kalkaroo deposit

Havilah Resources Ltd. estimated an inferred resource for cobalt in its Kalkaroo copper-cobalt-gold deposit in South Australia of 193.3 million tonnes at 120 parts per million cobalt containing about 23,200 tonnes, at a 20 ppm cobalt lower cut-off grade.

The company's total JORC-compliant cobalt metal inventory has now increased to 31,390 tonnes, which includes a measured and indicated resource of 8,190 tonnes at the Mutooroo copper-cobalt deposit.

All cobalt is contained in cobaltian pyrite and will be recovered as a concentrate during the copper flotation process, the company said March 7.

The Kalkaroo project also hosts a copper-gold resource of 223.8 million tonnes at 0.49% copper and 0.36 g/t of gold for 1.1 million tonnes of contained copper and 2.6 million ounces of contained gold.
