Mitsubishi UFJ Securities, unit make exec, board changes

Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Holdings Co. Ltd. and its unit Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co. Ltd. made changes to their boards and executives.

Mitsubishi UFJ Securities named Takashi Nagaoka as its new chairman, while Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities appointed him deputy chairman.

Nagaoka, who is currently president and CEO of both companies, replaces Toshiro Toyoizumi in both roles. Toyoizumi will become a senior adviser at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities.

Meanwhile, Saburo Araki was named president and CEO of both companies to replace Nagaoka.

In addition, Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities appointed Takami Onodera as deputy president and head of its research division, investment research and information division, equity research division, strategic alliance division and clean energy finance division. Onodera is currently a director at the company.

The changes are effective April 1.
