Diamond Bank names acting chairman of supervisory board

Nigeria-based Diamond Bank PLC appointed Dele Babade as acting chairman of its supervisory board, effective Dec. 24, following the resignation of Oluseyi Bickersteth.

Babade currently serves as the chairman of the Africa Risk Capacity Pan African Insurance Company.

He was nominated by First Carlyle Growth V and his appointment first approved as a nonexecutive director by the Nigerian central bank on April 20, 2017.

The change in supervisory leadership comes amid an ongoing merger between Access Bank PLC and Diamond Bank.
