Meketa Investment Group, Pension Consulting Alliance set to merge

Meketa Investment Group Inc. and Pension Consulting Alliance LLC have agreed to merge, with the combined company to be known as Meketa Investment Group.

Meketa Investment Group serves more than 170 clients with collective assets of about $1.1 trillion, while Pension Consulting Alliance has non-discretionary consulting relationships representing over $1.4 trillion in institutional investor assets.

Stephen McCourt and Peter Woolley, co-CEOs of Meketa Investment Group, will continue to lead the organization. Founder and managing director of Pension Consulting Alliance, Allan Emkin, will serve on the combined company's board.

Christy Fields will also join the combined company's board, while Judy Chambers and Neil Rue will join its executive committee. They are also managing directors at Pension Consulting Alliance.

All Pension Consulting Alliance's directors will become shareholders of the combined company.

The merger is expected to take place in the first half of 2019.

All of the approximately 160 employees of Meketa Investment Group and 30 employees of Pension Consulting Alliance are expected to stay at the combined company.
