Canadian real estate service provider FirstService Corp. appointed Joan Sproul to its board, expanding the board to eight directors, six of whom are independent.

Sproul will also serve as a member of the audit committee.

The new appointee most recently served as executive vice president, CFO and chief administrative officer of the Sinai Health System.
