Red Planet Japan Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended June 30 was a loss of 50 Japanese sen per share, compared with a loss of 49 sen per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥86.0 million, compared with a loss of ¥51.3 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to negative 7.6% from negative 13.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥1.13 billion from ¥391.0 million, and total operating expenses increased year over year to ¥1.28 billion from ¥470.0 million.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥170.0 million, or a loss of 99 sen per share, compared to a loss of ¥83.0 million, or a loss of 79 sen per share, in the prior-year period.
