Canada's ICC International Cannabis Corp. said it entered into a joint venture with Colombia-based Estrella Verde SAS.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The joint venture provides ICC International Cannabis access to over 300 cannabis strains, bringing the total to over 430 laboratory-tested craft genetic strains that would differentiate the company's brand.
Estrella Verde's strains have been evaluated and registered with the Colombian Agricultural Institute, ICC International Cannabis said.
ICC International Cannabis plans to use the strains to cultivate mother plants, generate clones and build out its nursery operation. The company has a prepaid 10-year lease on 13 hectares of agricultural land in Bogota, Colombia.
