Aflac issues yen-denominated notes offering

Aflac Inc. issued ¥60 billion in Japanese yen-denominated 0.932% senior notes due Jan. 25, 2027.

The company plans to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes and to replenish the cash used to buy back its 6.900% senior notes due 2039 and 6.45% senior notes due 2040.

As of Jan. 26, US$1 was equivalent to ¥114.71.
