Verint Systems Inc. is in talks to combine its security unit with Israeli cyber surveillance company NSO Group, a source close to the negotiations told Reuters.
The deal is expected to be signed in the coming days, the source said.
Under the deal, reportedly worth about $1 billion, NSO would become a new division within the U.S.-based software company, but will continue to operate independently, the source added.
The transaction, if completed, would create one of the world's biggest cyber companies, according to the report.
