Duke Energy seeks proposals for crushed steam coal supply

Duke Energy Corp. is seeking proposals for crushed steam coal for one or more of the company's regulated utility subsidiaries.

All proposals must be submitted, preferably online at https://www.progress-energy.com/app/fuelsRFP/, by 5:00 p.m. ET on Oct. 9.

Proposals must offer coal delivery between the fourth quarter of 2019 and Dec. 31, 2022. Longer-term proposals or alternative terms will also be considered.

Duke electric utilities that may receive the coal are Duke Energy Carolinas LLC, Duke Energy Progress LLC, Duke Energy Florida LLC, Duke Energy Kentucky Inc. and Duke Energy Indiana LLC.
