Energy Transfer Equity closes $1.0B senior note offering

Energy Transfer Equity LP closed an offering for $1.0 billion of its 4.25% senior notes due 2023, priced at 99.0%. It's total net proceeds amounted to about $990 million.

Interest on the notes is payable March 15 and Sept. 15 of each year, starting March 15, 2018. The notes will mature March 15, 2023, according to an Oct. 18 form 8-K.

Proceeds from the offering would be used to repay a portion of the partnership's debts under its senior secured term loan facility and for general partnership purposes.

Morgan Stanley and Mizuho Securities acted as joint book-running managers.
