AMA Group profit misses consensus by 29.3% in fiscal H1

AMA Group Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 31, 2015, was 1 Australian cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 2 cents per share.

EPS declined year over year from 1 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$4.8 million, an increase of 23.7% from A$3.9 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to A$107.8 million from A$42.3 million, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to A$99.8 million from A$36.0 million.

Reported net income decreased on an annual basis to A$4.1 million, or 1 cents per share, from A$4.3 million, or 1 cents per share.
