Hiday Hidaka Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Feb. 28 was ¥46.72 per share, an increase from ¥45.40 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥538.8 million, a gain from ¥523.8 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 6.2% from 6.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 6.1% on an annual basis to ¥8.75 billion from ¥8.25 billion, and total operating expenses increased 6.9% year over year to ¥7.92 billion from ¥7.41 billion.
Reported net income fell 7.7% on an annual basis to ¥421.0 million, or ¥36.51 per share, from ¥456.0 million, or ¥39.53 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥88.78 per share, an increase of 9.3% from ¥81.24 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥2.56 billion, a gain of 9.3% from ¥2.34 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew 7.6% year over year to ¥34.42 billion from ¥32.00 billion, and total operating expenses increased 7.5% year over year to ¥30.37 billion from ¥28.25 billion.
The company said reported net income grew 7.3% year over year to ¥2.29 billion, or ¥79.54 per share, in the full year, from ¥2.14 billion, or ¥74.11 per share.
