Tsui Wah Holdings fiscal H1 profit climbs YOY

Tsui Wah Holdings Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 came to 5 Hong Kong cents per share, an increase from 5 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was HK$65.9 million, an increase from HK$64.7 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 28.9% on an annual basis to HK$907.2 million from HK$703.7 million, and total operating expenses climbed 32.9% from the prior-year period to HK$820.9 million from HK$617.7 million.

Reported net income rose on an annual basis to HK$88.8 million, or 6 cents per share, from HK$85.5 million, or 6 cents per share.
