Descente Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥31.96 per share, a gain of 37.0% from ¥23.33 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥2.41 billion, a gain of 37.0% from ¥1.76 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 6.5% from 5.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 8.2% year over year to ¥36.79 billion from ¥34.01 billion, and total operating expenses increased 5.2% year over year to ¥32.96 billion from ¥31.33 billion.
Reported net income grew 40.0% on an annual basis to ¥2.42 billion, or ¥32.16 per share, from ¥1.73 billion, or ¥22.97 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥79.68 per share, an increase of 43.1% from ¥55.68 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥6.00 billion, a rise of 43.1% from ¥4.20 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased 12.0% year over year to ¥123.13 billion from ¥109.94 billion, and total operating expenses rose 10.0% year over year to ¥113.99 billion from ¥103.67 billion.
The company said reported net income grew 46.8% on an annual basis to ¥6.56 billion, or ¥87.11 per share, in the full year, from ¥4.47 billion, or ¥59.33 per share.
As of June 18, US$1 was equivalent to ¥122.95.
