SEC chief of staff announces departure

SEC Chief of Staff Andrew Donohue plans to leave the agency at the end of January.

Donohue was named chief of staff in May 2015, serving as a senior adviser to Chair Mary Jo White on a wide range of policy, management and regulatory issues. Previously, Donohue worked as managing director, associate general counsel and investment company general counsel at Goldman Sachs & Co.

Donohue also served as the director of the SEC's Division of Investment Management from May 2006 to November 2010.
