DPS Resources fiscal Q2 profit climbs 6.1% YOY

DPS Resources Bhd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was 391,880 ringgits, a rise of 6.1% from 369,380 ringgits in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin rose to 3.9% from 3.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell year over year to 10.2 million ringgits from 10.3 million ringgits, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to 9.4 million ringgits from 9.6 million ringgits.

Reported net income grew 6.1% year over year to 627,000 ringgits, or 0 sen per share, from 591,000 ringgits, or 0 sen per share.

As of Dec. 1, US$1 was equivalent to 4.22 ringgits.
