Aseed Holdings fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Aseed Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥4.48 per share, an increase from 39 sen per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥56.9 million, a gain from ¥5.0 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 0.8% from 0.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined on an annual basis to ¥6.95 billion from ¥7.25 billion, and total operating expenses declined 5.3% year over year to ¥6.85 billion from ¥7.24 billion.

Reported net income came to ¥35.0 million, or ¥2.76 per share, compared to a loss of ¥3.0 million, or a loss of 23 sen per share, in the prior-year period.

As of Feb. 10, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.28.
