Saha Pathanapibul Q4 profit climbs 14.0% YOY

Saha Pathanapibul PLC said its fourth-quarter normalized net income amounted to 1.08 baht per share, an increase of 12.6% from 96 satang per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 357.8 million baht, a gain of 14.0% from 313.8 million baht in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 4.4% from 4.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 13.9% on an annual basis to 8.10 billion baht from 7.11 billion baht, and total operating expenses increased 14.8% year over year to 7.60 billion baht from 6.62 billion baht.

Reported net income declined from the prior-year period to 465.3 million baht, or 1.39 baht per share, from 479.5 million baht, or 1.46 baht per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 3.19 baht per share, a gain of 13.6% from 2.81 baht per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 1.05 billion baht, a gain of 14.8% from 916.5 million baht in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose 9.6% year over year to 29.35 billion baht from 26.79 billion baht, and total operating expenses grew 9.7% on an annual basis to 27.94 billion baht from 25.47 billion baht.

The company said reported net income grew 13.6% year over year to 1.40 billion baht, or 4.25 baht per share, in the full year, from 1.23 billion baht, or 3.78 baht per share.

As of Feb. 29, US$1 was equivalent to 35.64 baht.
