Nationwide invests in Israel-based cybersecurity provider

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co., through venture capital arm Nationwide Ventures LLC, has invested in Israel-based cybersecurity provider Upstream Security Ltd.

Upstream Security provides cybersecurity solutions for connected vehicles through its cloud-based platform. It seeks to help original equipment manufacturers and fleets to detect, monitor and respond to attacks that target any part of connected vehicles' frameworks, including vehicles already on the road.

The investment is part of Nationwide's venture capital investment plan to invest more than $100 million in customer-centric solutions.
