Regal Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to ¥29.97 per share, a decrease of 58.7% from ¥72.62 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥95.3 million, a decrease of 57.1% from ¥222.3 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 1.1% from 2.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew year over year to ¥8.55 billion from ¥8.44 billion, and total operating expenses grew from the prior-year period to ¥8.39 billion from ¥8.15 billion.
Reported net income fell 71.3% year over year to ¥97.6 million, or ¥30.70 per share, from ¥340.2 million, or ¥111.15 per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
