DBRS on June 11 confirmed Banca Popolare dell'Alto Adige SpA's BBB (low)/R-2 (middle) long- and short-term issuer and deposit ratings and revised the trend on both ratings to stable from negative.
The Italian lender's BBB (low) long-term senior debt rating and R-2 (middle) short-term debt rating were also confirmed, with the trend on these ratings also revised to stable from negative.
DBRS maintained the bank's BBB (low) intrinsic assessment and SA3 support assessment.
The trend revision takes into account the bank's reduction of its stock of nonperforming loans in 2017 and the expectation that the lender will continue to improve its asset quality profile while maintaining an adequate capital position, according to the agency.
