Schindler Holding's revenue, profit for 2017 rise YOY

Net profit attributable to Schindler Holding AG shareholders was CHF824 million in 2017, up from CHF764 million in 2016.

Earnings per share and participation certificate reached CHF7.67 in 2017, up from CHF7.12 in the previous year. Comprehensive income attributable to Schindler shareholders was CHF943 million in 2017, up from CHF765 million in 2016.

Revenue for the year rose to CHF10.18 billion from CHF9.68 billion in 2016. Operating profit edged up to CHF1.19 billion in 2017 from CHF1.13 billion in the prior year.

Schindler's board proposed an ordinary dividend of CHF4.00 per registered share and participation certificate for 2017.

Looking ahead, Schindler is targeting a 3% to 5% increase in revenue for 2018, measured in local currencies. The company will provide a full-year net profit forecast for 2018 with its half-year results.
