Puget Energy Inc. reported a second-quarter 2019 net loss of $33.0 million, compared to net income of $3.6 million in the same quarter of 2018.
Operating revenues totaled $670.9 million, compared to $671.9 million a year earlier. The Washington state utility posted operating income of $39.1 million, a drop from $84.1 million a year ago, according to a Form 10-Q filed Aug. 1.
Puget Energy subsidiary Puget Sound Energy Inc. posted a net loss of $8.3 million for the quarter ended June 30, compared to net income of $26.8 million for the second quarter of 2018.
