Huron Capital-backed XLerate Group acquires Southeastern Auto Auction

Huron Capital Partners LLC-backed American Auto Auction Group LLC, now operating as XLerate Group, bought Southeastern Auto Auction for an undisclosed sum.

Former XLerate executive and current Southeastern Auto operator Bill McCready will lead the acquired company as general manager.

XLerate is a U.S. auction and remarketing facilitation platform. Southeastern operates dealer consignment, fleet, lease and financial institution sales at its Savannah, Ga., facility and caters to dealers and consignors in Georgia, South Carolina and Florida.

Huron is a Detroit-based lower-middle-market investor capitalizing business services, consumer products and services, and specialty industrial companies.
