Report: Germany restarts plans to sell Ireland-based Depfa Bank

Germany's bad bank FMS Wertmanagement AöR expects to find a buyer for Ireland-based Depfa Bank PLC in 2020, the Irish Independent reported, citing sources.

Previous plans to sell Depfa Bank have been discarded, but Germany is now formalizing plans to dispose of it and intends to appoint advisers for a deal as soon as October, the newspaper said, citing Bloomberg News.

FMS acquired Depfa Bank in 2014.
