Momo.com profit misses consensus by 31.9% in Q1

4910791 said its first-quarter normalized net income came to NT$1.53 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of NT$2.24 per share.

In the prior-year period, the per-share result came in at a profit of NT$1.53.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$216.9 million, an increase of 10.6% from NT$196.1 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 3.5% from 3.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 10.5% on an annual basis to NT$6.26 billion from NT$5.66 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 10.9% year over year to NT$5.96 billion from NT$5.38 billion.

Reported net income grew 12.9% on an annual basis to NT$274.2 million, or NT$1.93 per share, from NT$242.9 million, or NT$1.90 per share.
