Anrakutei Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to ¥48.79 per share, an increase of 24.1% from ¥39.33 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥104.4 million, an increase of 21.9% from ¥85.6 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.4% from 2.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue totaled ¥4.27 billion, compared with ¥4.27 billion in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses came to ¥4.09 billion, compared with ¥4.12 billion in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income rose from the prior-year period to ¥305.0 million, or ¥142.58 per share, from ¥108.8 million, or ¥50.00 per share.
As of Aug. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥102.44.
