United Mortgage Trust is delaying the filing of its annual report for the 2016 year because its new accounting firm is conducting an audit and that year's financial statements are not available.
The company switched accounting firms after Whitley Penn LLP declined to stand for reappointment in November 2015. More than six months later, on June 28, 2016, the company engaged EisnerAmper LLP as its new independent registered public account firm.
With the audit ongoing, the company expects to complete and file all necessary periodic reports as soon as practicable.
