Pacific Mercantile Bancorp president/CEO stepping down; successor named

Thomas Vertin will resign as president, CEO and a director of Costa Mesa, Calif.-based Pacific Mercantile Bancorp and its unit, Pacific Mercantile Bank, effective Sept. 3.

Vertin is leaving due to his desire to relocate to Northern California, according to a news release.

Brad Dinsmore will succeed Vertin as president, CEO and a director of the company and the bank, effective Sept. 3. Dinsmore's banking experience includes serving as corporate executive vice president for Atlanta-based SunTrust Banks Inc.
