The Walt Disney Co. is considering selling video-game business FoxNext, which it received from acquiring 21st Century Fox Inc.'s entertainment assets, Bloomberg News reported, citing sources.
Disney CEO Bob Iger, who had discussed the plan with senior executives, decided he is no longer interested in making video games.
FoxNext, which was formed two years ago, creates free-to-play mobile games with in-app purchases. The game developer's Marvel Strike Force mobile app has brought in more than $150 million in its first year, the report said.
During the August earnings call, Iger expressed the company's plan to integrate Fox's assets with Disney's businesses.
