Central Bank of India gets 33.53B-rupee capital injection

The Central Bank of India raised 33.53 billion Indian rupees of capital through a preferential allotment of equity shares.

The shares were issued to the Indian government, according to a statement released Oct. 22.

As of Oct. 22, US$1 was equivalent to 70.82 Indian rupees.
