Apollo Consolidated Ltd. found a new gold zone 400 meters south of the Jennifer lode during drilling at its Lake Rebecca project in Western Australia.
The company said Aug. 13 that four of the eight drillholes reported contained significant intercepts, including a highlight of 16 meters grading 3.02 g/t of gold from an exploration traverse about 400 meters south of the Jennifer lode.
As a result, the Rebecca prospect was extended over 1 kilometer of strike and remains open for at least 1 kilometer to the south.
The latest hits from drilling at the northern and eastern margins of the Jennifer lode included 29 meters at 3.10 g/t of gold and 15 meters at 2.07 g/t of gold, the company said.
Apollo is planning follow-up and step-out drilling in conjunction with ongoing drilling at Jennifer.
