John Wood Group wins contract to expand commuter rail service in Canada

John Wood Group PLC announced Aug. 30 that it had been awarded a contract to expand commuter rail service in Canada.

Under the contract, Wood will provide station facility design, stormwater management, remediation, construction supervision, contract administration and post-construction services as part of the expansion of Metrolinx's GO Transit rail service that will bring service to the Niagara Falls region by 2023.

John Wood Group CEO of environment and infrastructure solutions Ann Massey said the contract aligns with the firm's plans to continue growing its transportation infrastructure services business.
