Thai Wacoal Q2 profit falls YOY

Thai Wacoal Public Co. Ltd said its normalized net income for the second quarter came to 50 satang per share, a decline of 24.2% from 66 satang per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 60.1 million baht, a decrease of 24.2% from 79.3 million baht in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 5.9% from 7.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell on an annual basis to 1.02 billion baht from 1.05 billion baht, and total operating expenses declined year over year to 982.8 million baht from 997.6 million baht.

Reported net income decreased 21.2% from the prior-year period to 88.5 million baht, or 74 satang per share, from 112.3 million baht, or 94 satang per share.

As of Aug. 15, US$1 was equivalent to 34.58 baht.
