AmWINS Group Inc.'s specialty logistics team appointed Herman Cruz senior vice president, the Insurance Journal, reported. He will serve as head of retailer relationships at AmWINS Specialty Logistics Underwriters on top of his underwriter role.

Scott Sauter, Debbie Anderson and Jeremy Bright will become part of AmWINS Access' personal lines team, while Mike Ramirez will join the commercial property and casualty binding team.

Additionally, AmWINS Group appointed Josh Ammons branch leader of AmWINS Brokerage of the Carolinas in Charlotte, N.C., succeeding Doug Sanders.

Andrea Dickinson will assume the co-branch leader role at AmWINS Brokerage of Tennessee alongside Sandy Foster. Dickinson replaces Bill Markin.


Main Street America Group Inc. promoted Jeff Kusch to president of field operations and Chris Listau to president of insurance operations, the Insurance Journal reported.


Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Co. hired Mohammed Ali Al- Shakwan as a nonexecutive board member. He will replace Tariq Abdullah Al Ghaziri, who tendered his resignation.


Employers Holdings Inc. appointed John Figueiredo to its board, effective April 1.


Progressive Corp. increased the size of its board to 12 members from 11.


American Steamship Owners Mutual Protection and Indemnity Association Inc. appointed Margaret Lee lead counsel.

In the managers' office in Piraeus, Greece, Joanna Koukouli took on the role of deputy global claims director and Marivi Banou was appointed as protection and indemnity claims manager.

Additionally, Elina Souli was hired as freight, demurrage and defence manager, and regional business development director.


Pen Underwriting Pty Ltd consolidated its hospitality and leisure liability, and general liability teams.

The new team will be jointly headed by Paul Behm as liability manager and Paul Belford as technical underwriting manager.
