Axis Bank Ltd. plans to add between 350 and 400 branches in fiscal 2019, the Press Trust of India reported Aug. 8, citing Rajiv Anand, the bank's executive director for retail banking.
The bank added 76 branches in the first fiscal quarter of the year ended June 30 to bring the total number of national outlets to 3,800, he said.
It will also focus on digital banking where, for example, spending via mobile banking grew 90% year over year in the first fiscal quarter.
