YUM! Brands Inc.'s Pizza Hut said Jan. 7 that it will expand its beer delivery program to approximately 300 more restaurants in Florida, Iowa, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio and some sites in Arizona and California by mid-January.
The restaurant chain hopes to equip 1,000 branches with beer-delivering capacities by summer 2019 and leverage the Super Bowl weekend, when pizza and beer are usually ordered together, the release said.
Pizza Hut piloted its beer delivery service in Arizona in December 2017 and operates the service in seven states.
In December 2018, Yum! Brands said it planned to cut down Pizza Hut's dine-in operations to less than 25% of the business over the next three to five years to focus on delivery.
