NextEra Energy Partners reports final results of trust certificates tender offer

An indirect subsidiary of NextEra Energy Partners accepted for purchase approximately $9.6 million of outstanding 3.875% series A trust certificates due 2038 and about $8.9 million of outstanding 5.125% series B trust certificates due 2038, as part of a tender offer for Genesis Solar 2011 pass-through trust certificates.

The pass-through trust was formed to fund Genesis Solar LLC's construction of a 250-MW solar thermal generation facility in Riverside, Calif., which achieved full operations in 2014.

The tender offer was funded with proceeds from a $500 million offering of NextEra Energy Operating Partners' 3.875% senior unsecured notes due Oct. 15, 2026.

In addition, the NextEra Energy Partners subsidiary had previously purchased from two holders approximately $38.8 million of series B certificates in a private transaction.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC acted as dealer manager for the offer.

NextEra Energy Partners is the yieldco affiliate of NextEra Energy Inc.
