Naspers Ltd. listed Prosus NV, a new entity which will carry its international internet assets, on the Euronext Amsterdam under the ticker PRX.
Prosus' assets are valued at more than $100 billion, including its investments in China's Tencent Holdings Ltd. and Ctrip.com International Ltd., as well as Russia's Mail.ru Group Ltd.
Shares of Prosus on the Amsterdam opened at €76, higher than the reference price of €58, bringing its valuation to about €123 billion, London's Financial Times reported.
Naspers will be the majority shareholder of Prosus, holding at least a 73% stake in the company, alongside its South African businesses, Takealot Online (Pty.) Ltd. and Media24. The remaining stake in the newly listed entity will be part of the free float made through a capitalization issue. Results of the issuance will be announced Sept. 16.
Naspers also made a secondary listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
