Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥843.0 million, a gain of 9.3% from ¥771.3 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 4.9% from 5.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 28.3% year over year to ¥17.37 billion from ¥13.54 billion, and total operating expenses increased 30.0% on an annual basis to ¥16.01 billion from ¥12.32 billion.
Reported net income grew 7.5% on an annual basis to ¥675.0 million, or ¥7.15 per share, from ¥628.0 million, or ¥7.36 per share.
