China Banking Corp. appointed William Whang, executive vice president and lending business segment head, as COO.

The bank said Alberto Emilio Ramos, currently seconded to unit China Bank Savings Inc. as president, was promoted to executive vice president from senior vice president. Delia Marquez, head of the controllership group, was promoted to first vice president II from first vice president I.

The appointment and promotions took effect Feb. 1.
