Allianz Q4'17 net income dips 22.3% YOY to €1.43B

Allianz Group reported preliminary net income attributable to shareholders of €1.43 billion in the fourth quarter of 2017, down 22.3% from €1.84 billion in the prior-year period.

EPS for the period stood at €3.24, compared to €4.03 a year earlier. The S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate for the quarter based on four analysts' reporting was €3.44.

Total revenues reached €31.7 billion, compared to the year-ago €30.0 billion.

For full year 2017, Allianz's attributable net income was €6.80 billion, compared to €6.96 billion in 2016.
