Unilever repurchases more shares under €6B buyback program

Unilever NV and Unilever PLC repurchased a total of 12,455,420 of its shares from July 30 to Aug. 24 as part of its share repurchase program to buy back €6 billion worth of shares.

The consumer goods giant bought back 2,890,007 shares from July 30 to Aug. 3 at an average price of €49.27, and 5,072,156 shares from Aug. 6 to Aug. 10 at an average price of €49.56.

From Aug. 13 to Aug. 17, it repurchased 2,774,791 shares at an average price of €49.24, and purchased 1,718,466 shares from Aug. 20 to Aug. 24 at an average price of €49.65.

The transactions follow the completion of the first tranche of the buyback in July, in which Unilever repurchased €3 billion worth of shares.
